COMPANY PHILOSOPHY
It all started in a boiler room.
As a young man, Maynard Hokanson stoked boilers in the basement of a medical arts building in Downtown Indianapolis while he was attending law school. He proved to be such a dependable employee that he was asked to manage the building, which came to be known as the premier medical arts building in Indianapolis, Indiana.
The rest is history. And as it happened, starting in 1938, Maynard Hokanson was as good at property management as he was at stoking boilers. Today, with Marynard’s son Steve Hokanson at the helm, Hokanson Companies, Inc. has grown and evolved to embrace five distinct, yet interrelated disciplines.
