Hokanson Companies has provided
corporate real estate services to Barnes & Thornburg since
1986. In 1999, HCI investigated the potential of expanding the
17-story Barnes & Thornburg Building in Indianapolis, Indiana.
Hokanson Companies assisted Barnes & Thornburg in the selection
of an architect, prepared preliminary proformas to arrive at market
rental rates, and interacted with the contractor chosen to do
preliminary pricing with the architect. Although Barnes &
Thornburg declined to pursue the project, Hokanson Companies,
after 15 years, continues to lease and manage the existing structure,
as well as the annex.
