Property ManagementWe are happy to announce that we have begun property management of a new 22,744 square foot VA Clinic in Muncie, Indiana.

Hokanson Companies, Inc has recently broken ground on a new 25,000 square foot medical/surgical building for Optum on the northwest side of Muncie, Indiana. 

The building will be occupied by an Ophthalmology group and part of the building will be a surgery center to support the Ophthalmology practice. The site will accommodate expansion of the project should the demand arise. 

Hokanson Companies, Inc. is providing development and construction services and will manage the facility upon completion in Spring 2022. 

Construction on the single-story, 24,200 square foot build-to-suit medical office building located at 503 Greenwood Trace in Greenwood has been completed for Optum. The Tenant will occupy the facility on April 1st. 

Milestone CelebrationHokanson Companies, Inc was started by Steve’s father, Maynard Hokanson, in 1938. Steve accompanied his father in the corporation on February 4, 1971, and has been its President and Chief Executive Officer since 1983. When Steve joined the organization, Hokanson Companies, Inc. was primarily focused on property management. Under Steve’s leadership as CEO, Hokanson Companies has grown to include four active divisions: Real Estate Development, Brokerage, Property Management, and Construction. 

(August 2020) Hokanson Companies, Inc. is providing development services to
Hanon Systems that produces climate control systems worldwide for the
automotive industry in Shorter, Alabama is expanding its warehouse space. This
project expands a 35,000 square foot addition to their original warehouse.

Vault Room RenovationOriginally opened in 1908, remodel of the original Merchants National Bank and vault area. This area is being renovated for meeting space and entertainment area for current tenant. Hokanson Companies, Inc. is providing construction services for this renovation. 

(June 2020) Site work has begun on a single‐story, 24,200 square foot build‐to‐suit
medical office building located at 503 Greenwood Trace, Greenwood, Indiana.
Hokanson Companies, Inc. is providing Development and Construction services.
Will manage upon completion.

(December 2019) A single‐story, 45,312 square foot Community-Based Outpatient Clinic with 250 surface parking spaces to be built on approximately 9.5 acres located .5 miles from I‐70 and IN Route 46 on Bill Farr Drive. This facility will feature primary care service (PACT), mental health, pathology /laboratory, eye clinic, audiology, imaging, including a mobile imaging pad, prosthetic, and physical rehabilitation.

(September 2019) A single‐story, 23,523 square foot Community-Based Outpatient Clinic with 118 surface parking spaces to be built on approximately 5.5 acres located in the southeastern Quadrant of North Road and Magnolia Village Parkway. This facility will feature primary care service (PACT), mental health, pathology/laboratory and a mobile imaging pad.

(September 2019) A single‐story, 58,671 square foot Outpa􀀁ent Clinic with and 350 surface parking spaces to be built on approximately 10 acres located SW 49th Road and SW 48th Avenue. This facility will feature primary care service (PACT), audiology, eye clinic, mental health, imaging, and pathology.

(August 2019) Eight of Hokanson’s finest competed in Downtown Indy, Inc.’s Brickyard Pit Stop Paddle competition and brought home the GOLD (actually, a wooden paddle). They competed against 10 other teams of strong contenders. They split into two teams of four. The first group paddled and pedaled with all their might down the Canal, then the teammates switched and the second group brought it back to the finish line to pull off the big Win!

(July 2019) Heather Cagle, Allison Osterman, and Jenifer Donato were promoted to Senior Regional Property Managers.

(June 2019) Christopher Horsley appointed Director of BOMA Indianapolis.

(March 2020) Construction is underway for a new single‐story, 20,000 square foot
build‐to‐suit medical office building located at 990 East State Road 44 in Franklin,
Indiana. Completion scheduled for the third quarter of 2020. Hokanson
Companies, Inc. is providing Development and Construction services. Will manage
upon completion.

(February 2020) A cold and snowy ground breaking ceremony was held for a
single‐story, 12,300 square foot build‐to‐suit medical office building located at
10601 Bennett Parkway, Zionsville, Indiana. Hokanson Companies, Inc. is providing
Development and Construction services. Will manage upon completion.

(April 2019) Construction is underway for a single-story 17,000 square foot medical office building located at the northwest corner of Olive Branch Road and State Road 135 in Greenwood, Indiana for OrthoIndy and St. Vincent’s Hospital.  The single story building will have a stone base, stone transition and brick field, metal cap with architectural precast.  The building will have a small vacant space available for lease. 

(January 2019) The South Hillsborough VA Primary Care Clinic in Riverview, Florida was recently completed and was delivered nearly 4 weeks ahead of schedule.  The new clinic will serve approximately 10,000 Veterans who would otherwise have to drive an hour or more to the main hospital or Primary Care Annex in Tampa and will serve the communities of Riverview, Ruskin, Sun City, Apollo Beach and other areas of South Hillsborough County.

 (December 2018) Thank you to the Hokanson Companies, Inc. staff for all your generous holiday contributions in the form of gifts, food, and gift cards to the family we sponsored from The Good Samaritan Network in Hamilton County, Indiana.  All of the packages, food and gift cards were delivered on December 14th to the family. 

(July 2018) Hokanson Companies, Inc. was recently awarded property management of the new Multi-Institutional Academic Health Science and Research Center in Evansville, recently renamed Stone Family Center for Health Sciences.  Indiana University will expand its School of Medicine-Evansville campus to the new facility.
